We are pleased to announce the release of XpertEye version 9.6, available on April 24, 2025.
This update introduces an advanced feature that allows users to share thermal video streams within XpertEye.
Support for thermal cameras on RealWear N520 & Z1.
XpertEye version 9.6 supports the thermal camera module on RealWear N520 and RealWear Z1 devices. You can now share thermal video streams in real time during your conferences or video calls.
Temperature display:
Users can view the temperature displayed in °C and °F, centered on the video image.
Video recording: Thermal streams and temperature data are included in conference recordings for later analysis.
Camera switch option:
With RealWear smart glasses, users can easily switch cameras using the voice command “Switch Camera”, enabling a hands-free experience.
Remote camera switching is still possible and can be done by any conference participant.
Radiometric JPEG
With XpertEye, you can now capture images from the thermal camera in radiometric JPEG format (JPEG files including metadata for precise thermal analysis).
Users can capture the thermal camera stream directly within XpertEye.
Storage of the capture is handled in the Xe session.
Radiometric JPEG image and temperature display (°C and °F) are shown at the pointer location within XpertEye.
Export of radiometric JPEG images is available for advanced analysis in dedicated software.
⚠️ Important note regarding the use of RealWear Z1 smart glasses ⚠️
Prolonged use of the thermal module on RealWear Z1 smart glasses may cause the device to heat up and result in a reduced frame rate (FPS).
XpertEye plugin now available in Teams!
We are pleased to announce that the XpertEye extension is now available on the Microsoft Teams App Store!
Easily accessible from any Teams conversation via message extensions by clicking the "+" in the message box and selecting "XpertEye."
The extension allows you to instantly create an XpertEye session in just two clicks from within Teams. The session can be easily joined by anyone in the conversation—either by clicking the "Join" button or by scanning the displayed QR code (using their mobile device or smart glasses).
